There are significant differences between hot-rolled fabric and non-woven fabric in terms of production process, performance, and applications.
Hot-rolled fabric is made by heating the fiber network with hot-rolling rollers while applying pressure for thermal bonding. This process gives hot-rolled fabric characteristics such as high yield, low cost, high strength, and density uniformity, but it has poor softness and breathability, and is usually used in the medical and health fields.
Non-woven fabric includes various types, among which hot air non-woven fabric is formed by the hot air penetrating the fiber network through drying equipment, causing it to melt and bond. Hot air non-woven fabric features high fluffiness, good elasticity, soft touch, and strong warmth retention, but it has lower strength and is prone to deformation.
In terms of applications, hot-rolled fabric is mainly used in the medical and health fields, while hot air non-woven fabric, due to its softness and comfort, is often used in products that come into direct contact with the skin, such as baby diapers.
